The Carefree Lightness of Being...
How time doesn't pass...as I doze here in my sun lounger on a sunny Sunday, looking out at the field in front of me. It invites dreaming, as I get an impression of how the vast lavender fields in Provence might look.
I get this impression because the field has not yet been mowed due to ecological farming. Therefore, the grass is very high, has lots of purple tips, and indeed looks like lavender.
Unfortunately, the matching scent is missing!! But wait...what am I writing. A spritz of Beau de Jour, and the opening is perfect. Dreamy lavender, with the perfect backdrop that couldn't be better...
I really like this intense beginning from Beau. This is certainly not to everyone's taste, and I am not an explicit lavender fan either. But since it is just the intense opening, I really enjoy it.
The lightness of being then develops in the course of its presence. And this presence is almost omnipresent. In my still short time of intense perfume research, I have not experienced a scent that possesses such radiance.
I am fascinated when a fragrance simply exists for many hours and does not just disappear like many of its colleagues...
Once the intense opening settles, the whole fragrance becomes much softer. A beautiful creaminess and warmth emerge, which can certainly be attributed to the patchouli and amber. I can also repeatedly perceive a hint of mint, which gives the fragrance a certain freshness throughout. Lastly, of course, the lavender does its part and carries the fragrance throughout its entire spectrum of effects...
For me, Beau de Jour, by the way, I am writing about the signature line, is a true enrichment for my scent (er-)life. When a fragrance can create an aura capable of transforming even a dreary day into something beautiful, then it convinces me completely.
This creates exactly that carefree lightness of being, which in today's world, plagued by stress and haste, is often very hard to find.
As for me, I wish to experience many more such moments, ideally here on board the "scent ship" Parfumo, which is on its way to the endless expanses of scent creations and impressions that no human has ever smelled before...:-)
Thank you for reading!
