Sweet and Soft
I am still in the phase where my usually beloved winter fragrances don't quite appeal to me. Strange, isn't it? Perhaps it's because this winter isn't really a winter at all. It should be subtle now, warm and cozy, even sweet! How convenient that the world of perfume always has something suitable for every need, whether long-lasting or short-lived. In any case, that's how I came across Toni Gard Woman, which didn't fully convince me during an earlier test, but now seemed to be exactly what I was looking for.
Toni Gard Woman is sweet, but by no means overwhelming or sticky sweet. And it's not heavy, at least not to my nose. My perception aligns with the fragrance pyramid, although the individual components appear in a different order for me. The scent starts off quite sweet and vanilla-like. After about an hour, the berries/red fruits join in, which I (unfortunately) can smell quite distinctly, giving the fragrance a fruity note. The flowers, on the other hand, I don't specifically pick out; they are beautifully woven in and make the scent very feminine. I also regret that I can't smell any marzipan. Overall, Toni Gard Woman is sweet, vanilla, delicately powdery, fruity, creamy-woody, soft, warm, gentle, and very pleasant, best worn on cooler days.
Unfortunately, the longevity of this fragrance is below average. You can spray quite a bit and may need to reapply. If I had only bought the small 30 ml bottle, it would probably be empty by now. Nevertheless, I quite like Toni Gard Woman, as it is exactly what I need at the moment. Less fruit, more marzipan, and better longevity, and it would be perfect! But I am quite satisfied as it is, because I am sure that my perfume heart will be longing for something completely different next week, which I definitely don't have in my collection yet…

It is indeed beautiful, but its short longevity prevents me from buying it. Nicely described. I can perceive the delicate marzipan note.

Adding it to my wishlist. Less is usually more for me at the moment. Cuddle trophy.

I once sniffed that one because I was hoping for a lot of marzipan. Unfortunately, I didn't pick up on any of that, but I still want to test it again! :)

I have my New Year's pink marzipan lucky pig right in front of me - I'm generously sliding it over to you now (but I've already bitten off an ear...)

That happens to me a lot too. Either the longevity isn't great, or my skin just absorbs the lovely scent. This one sounds so nice, but...

I totally get you... By the way, I have the "first edition" of this Toni, back when it came in a frosted bottle and had "femme" instead of "woman." You might even like that one a bit more.

I also think it's really nice of the perfume industry to lend us a hand with all our emotions and needs ;-) But seriously, with such a variety of scents, there should definitely be something for everyone. Great comment!

Sounds like a nice scent for in between ;-) I'm also drawn to spring and summer fragrances. There's just something off about this winter.

Sometimes, the simply nice scents fit best, just because they're pleasant and don't stress or demand anything.

Oh, just have a few Lübeck marzipans with it...

Something about the scent annoyed me, hmm. My fluffies are also currently in the declining (spring hope) league ;-)

I have it too and I like it, but I don't use it often because it's not strong enough for me. I can smell the marzipan though...

You might also like Max Mara. I'm currently wearing Liberte, which warms me up nicely.

I somehow like this scent too, hard to describe why. I think it's affordable as well. **Pokal+**

Aha. So, it's the special scent for days when it's officially winter, but somehow feels like November, and where the last remnants of snow are just wiped away by slightly chilly raindrops in May.
