Rosa Eau Légère Tous 2014

The Sunday breakfast had been cleared away, Mr. Pluto was sitting in the living room with the newspaper, while Mrs. Pluto descaled the coffee machine. Mr. Pluto called into the kitchen: “What are you testing now? It stinks terribly, really like pee if you want to know. What is it?” Hm, I was slightly annoyed because I hadn’t put anything on yet. “That might be the citric acid for descaling.” “No, it already smelled.” Aha, I sniffed my way into the living room, a bottle of Rosa Eau Légère by Tous was sitting there, which I wanted to test right away. It did smell urinous, that’s true, and it was of course not the fragrance, it was the daffodils, the first ones I had bought as spring messengers and probably also the last… They had bloomed overnight and needed to be quickly taken out to the balcony. Or into the bin. Unfortunately, I had had such experiences more often over the years; there are also almost odorless daffodils, which I seem to catch only rarely. Now it’s enough with the fun, I will only bring spring into the house in the form of fragrances or tulips or ranunculus.

So I sprayed Rosa Eau Légère not only on my wrists but generously as a room fragrance. Yes, that’s how spring smells. Red berry fruits and citrus spread out. It’s friendly, spring-like, and also girlish. Quickly, the unsweetened little fruits are underlaid by rose, and the scent now reminds me a bit of one of the many Dior flankers, I’ve got it… oh yes, one of those pink Chérie scents and Eau D’Ivoire, they play in the same league. The whole thing is enhanced with a little amber and a good pinch of musk. The sillage is rather close to the skin, and the longevity is medium. The satin-finished, pink glass bottle is simple but beautifully shaped. The fragrance is elegant and gives one that clean, neat, well-groomed feeling. Rosa Eau Légère is feminine, a delicate, young fairy comes to my mind. A lovely fragrance by Christine Nagel (of whom I appreciate several scents), but not one that will linger with me for long; I am neither delicate, nor young, nor a fairy. But I do have my own house elf, who smells of Aramis 900 and suits me better.
Oh, correction. The 8 was a mistake; this fragrance is a 7 plus in the overall rating, I will correct that now.
