The Scent Anchor of My Birth
Every year on my birthday, my mother tells me the same story. Every year, as long as I can remember. Several decades have passed, but the story is still told.
Now you could read it too.
In the country where I was born, the birth of a child was a purely female affair, with the woman, the child, and a midwife, if all went well. Men were not allowed in the birthing houses and certainly not present at the birth.
Holding the woman's hand, breathing with her, and then cutting the umbilical cord - that was unthinkable back then.
The birth of a child was a woman's matter. Period! The fathers were shown the newborn through a window. It was good if the window was on the ground floor. That was how it was during Soviet times.
The lilacs bloomed due to the very cold winters in the Southern Ural only at the beginning of June.
To this day, I don't know how my father managed it. He doesn't remember either. One thing is clear, if you want to, you can find ways. Since my mother loves lilacs so much, he brought her a huge bouquet of freshly cut lilacs from a nurse into the room. My mother still raves about how the whole room filled with the scent of fresh lilacs and how happy she was. This is how a scent becomes an anchor.
Now to the fragrance. In the Pafory calendar, I found the sample of Love at First Sight by Une Nuit Nomade. I already knew the brand, but not the scent. Passion fruit, lilac, Ambroxan - that sounds exciting.
Sprayed on the back of my hand, and suddenly you're in the middle of a park on a sunny, warm spring day, surrounded by lilacs as far as the eye can see. A very authentic, fresh lilac, a bit overwhelming for my personal taste, but still beautiful. High-quality and harmonious.
I will give the perfume to my dear mom by Mother's Day at the latest. That is already certain. And in June, like every year, sipping a glass of Prosecco, I will HAVE to listen to the story of my birth once again with gratitude..
Mom - You are the best!

Thank you for sharing your story with us.
Now I'm getting hungry for a Mettbr枚tchen with a generous helping of onions on top! 馃槃馃憣馃徎
After the birth of my daughter, I had an incredible craving for a Salamibr枚tchen, no idea why?! I hardly ever eat it! 馃槄
Une Nuit Nomade is a great brand 馃憣馃徎 I need to take my time to explore it! And I had promised myself to spend less on perfume this year. But addiction is addiction, no matter how you spin it 馃槄
