Well this is NOT a gourmand (at least on my skin). It smells exactly like what my father would put on when I was younger: AXE Dark Temptation.
Very strong, herbal and aromatic lavender with a subtle dip of dark chocolate and powdery cocoa. I barely got any citrus fruits. I will say though, don't be fooled by the notes. Lavender here takes up 85% of the scent and is very men's cologne. As it moves on, it starts to warm up, but the ginger and cinnamon further reinforce the aromatic / spicy aspect of the fragrance and clearly point towards masculine territory and men's spicy colognes. Drydown becomes more musky and spicier while the chocolate and sweetness get left behind.
If you're out looking for a unisex chocolate fragrance, this is not it. Also, this is VERY AXE Dark Temptation adjacent so the axe version is cheaper and more accessible. I'm jealous of people who got to smell the chocolate. Lavender here was way magnified and way too masculine for me. Oh well.
