Euphoria and a Heart Flutter
A seemingly harmless letter fluttered in. I was very pleased with the various samples it contained, and above all, I was delighted by the sweet gesture from my beloved Schnuckiwutz. She knows exactly how to touch me, where my preferences begin and end. What can I say, one fragrance almost caused a heart flutter. When I had Singular Oud under my nose, the euphoria quickly rose within me, thoughts fluttering like butterflies through the lush green of nature, blood rushing through my body in a flash, my heart could hardly keep up with pumping, so overwhelmed and happy was I as this magnificent scent, beautifully enveloped in gentle Oud, settled upon me. I can hardly control myself, so happy and intoxicated am I. What a fragrance can evoke when it hits the mark directly with an arrow. You can surely imagine it well, as many of us have likely experienced this at least once or twice.
From then on, I was accompanied by a gentle veil of incense, which proved to be very comforting and abundant. Oud was integrated here so fantastically that it’s almost tear-inducing. Nothing feels overloaded, nothing is harshly animalistic or truly dirty. Oud pulls its strings from beginning to end. Immediately followed by a wonderful note of fig, richly wrapped in a sweetness that then hesitantly settles into nirvana. An intoxicating feeling! Nothing here clings annoyingly to me and keeps me stuck in one place. As my predecessors wrote - nothing sticks or clings here. Everything floats in harmony, so much so that one often runs the risk of getting a heart flutter.
At first, the scent rolls in like an avalanche, but it calms down so quickly that thoughts can’t even grasp what is actually happening, let alone the nose. As the Oud delicately winds around the bright wood, one finds oneself in an endless, cozy sleep. Singular Oud invites you to dream. Furthermore, there lies a gentle spicy blanket over all of this, providing a sense of protection. Light facets of golden shimmering resin emerge timidly, sinking into the warm earth and forming the heart of this fragrance. Everything is skillfully intertwined, and all the ingredients create a strong framework.
And then, when the euphoria slowly returns, the avalanches and the rushing settle down, a comforting feeling comes along. This Oud scent feels pure. Pure with its conscience, distinctly close and familiar.
To all those who hesitate to approach Oud or find this note very disturbing - here you might find a fragrance with Oud that is not at all piercing, animalistic, harsh, or dirty. It is a gentle fellow that peacefully draws under the skin, even if it drives you a bit crazy at first. Its intentions are good and not evil!
Moreover, it is a good companion. Loyal and abundant. You can still feel it on your skin the next day as it snuggles up to you.
