I would claim that Wad is a fragrance far removed from the mainstream. Unfortunately, it doesn't smell particularly pleasant to me and is too unharmonious - what a shame! The longevity on my skin is about 10 hours, and I would categorize the sillage as rather moderate.
In my eyes, the top note is dominated by a very intense smokiness. This completely reminds me of a campfire. The heart note remains distinctly smoky. Accompanying this are green-herbaceous, citrusy, and subtly maritime aromas of algae, bergamot, clary sage, wormwood, and seagrass. The base is still smoky. Additionally, I detect oriental-spicy, earthy, and resinous-woody hints of nutmeg, allspice, oud, cedarwood, pine needles, and a bit of oud. There is also a mustiness that recalls old sisal hemp fibers.
In the end, I would describe my experience with Wad as rather difficult. Nevertheless, I thank S枚ren for the manufacturer sample.
Mud and seaweed, I love those scents - in nature with a fresh breeze. But in perfumes? Well, maybe you can imagine the mud at low tide, but I just can't picture the spices.
