Forever Vera - rather not!!

In the Douglas outlet store just before Christmas, I purchased this fragrance due to the really low price. A small test spray, I was impressed, we wanted to move on, so off to the checkout.

At home, I applied it properly again, we had an appointment, for heaven's sake! What is this? Within a very short time, I developed a headache, which I can only attribute to the Brazilian gardenia; I didn't notice much from the coconut water or white peach, to say the least: NOTHING! I slowly began to understand why it was so drastically discounted (I should have guessed), and it was clear why such a large quantity was sitting around in the store. This fragrance would not be snatched up like freshly baked bread.

Now we had to leave, and I was practically praying to get home soon. The scent had to go, that was my only thought. The lilac quickly took over, and how strong lilac "smells" is generally known. I couldn't handle it at all and wanted to get rid of that little water.

I can't notice much from sandalwood or tonka bean, but I do notice the musk. Somehow, this whole blend just isn't really my thing.

Later at home, however, I had to realize that - once the scent has developed - it actually is somewhat okay. Well, it won't be a candidate for repurchase, but now and then, when I have a "loud" day, "Forever Vera" fits.

I wouldn't recommend it for summer, and the dosage should be rather sparing; then it's close to the skin, which is better in this case.
I personally find the bottle very appealing, which is why it stands within sight ;-)
