The regular Flowerbomb (EdP) doesn't quite suit my taste, but when I saw this summer edition themed around roses, I couldn't help but whip out a strip. And lo and behold: Hhmmmm, fresh, floral, light. The piercing sweetness of the original is finally gone. The heart note is very pronounced, all three flower varieties come through nicely, and fortunately, the rose is not too dominant, so the fragrance retains its lightness (thanks to the freesias and lily of the valley!).
Created to celebrate the 5th anniversary of Flowerbomb, I am full of praise for this scent, for me the best Flowerbomb. The name "la vie en rose" is, by the way, a nod to the vibrant pink of the bottle as well as Edith Piaf's song.
Addendum: this "L'eau d'ete" (quote packaging) is a limited edition! Last bottles are still in stores & there will be no restock.
