This title applies doubly.
On one hand, this is my first contribution to Parfumo, and on the other hand, the purchase of this noble little water was also my very first "blind buy," which I dared to make solely based on previous reviews.
I was also motivated by the correspondingly favorable opportunity on e*ay and, on the other hand, the less positive reason of the reported bankruptcy of the manufacturer - time was pressing.
As of today, I am now a proud owner of this scent, which is, in my opinion, difficult to compare (on the other hand, I still lack some fragrance breadth to judge it objectively).
When I unscrewed the cap to apply the sprayer (I'm not much of a splash person), the first olfactory impression was reminiscent of Pitralon (if anyone should know that) and cheap, generic aftershave.
But, one should not sniff directly at the exhaust - my own fault.
A few quick pumps to activate the sprayer were followed by the first tentative "Pfft" on a test strip (blotting paper), followed by myriads of thoughts that I briefly summarize under the universally known "Mmmhm."
Well, I kept the scent I had sniffed in my head/nose and then let a few hours pass before I indulged (and my body) in the first 3 scent applications (in the almost truest sense of the word).
I can (I lack the "component-sniffing olfactory bulb" or I'm not a walking chromatograph) and also do not want to give an academic analysis of any kind.
However, what I was able to smell for several hours and the impressions I had, I will briefly share.
Freshly washed, starched, and pressed shirts come to mind, a hint of sweetness that is pleasing and good without being sticky, intrusive, or too (sorry) feminine. A spiciness that is so frrrrrrrrrrresh (I suspect the geranium supports the mandarin in its longevity) that I immediately long for summer.
The perfume has such a likeable scent base that I don't want to stop smelling it.
I simply feel fabulous with this scent.
I certainly won't be slathering it on daily (it feels too precious for me, and due to its now decreasing availability, it is as well), but when I do, a day of olfactory well-being is in store, a day of success and enjoyment; nothing can really go wrong!
My first and thus best blind buy, I will probably order another bottle :).
Speaking of "Pitralon," if you have a "Manufactum" store nearby or happen to be in Switzerland, give the Swiss Pitralon a try. It's completely different from what we know. http://www.manufactum.de/schweizer-pitralon-p757229/

Hats off and a trophy to you!
