Light Gooseberry on a Floral Musk Bed
When the test package from FranFan arrived, I was faced with a variety of new scents and didn't even know where to start. Somehow, the names of the Weil fragrances caught my attention the most spontaneously, so it was going to be one of those. So, checking the fragrance notes. Most seemed quite intense and heavy, probably too intense for such a warm day. Until I arrived at this one. The fragrance notes initially suggest a fresher scent. A mini-test spray on my arm to see if I'm not mistaken. But yes, this is the one for today. However, the scent starts off very sweet. Not that it isn't fresh, but I can't clearly identify any of the notes listed in the top notes. Perhaps with a lot of imagination, I can detect the sweet-sourness of the gooseberry. This gives the fragrance a juicy-fruity quality, but without being too prominent. If I hadn't known it was supposed to be gooseberry, I wouldn't have been able to define that note.
The most dominant scent I perceive is the powdery tea combined with light floral notes. Here too, I find it difficult to pick out specific flowers, as they all blend together very harmoniously and none stand out too much. It's actually surprising, as both lilac and the Arabian jasmine (I assume this is the same as the Egyptian jasmine mentioned here) usually have quite a strong presence.
Over time, the fragrance becomes a bit fuller and the delicate musk clearly joins in. This makes the scent very powdery and really minimally soapy. However, since this impression is still balanced by the juiciness, the fragrance remains pleasant at all times, especially for warmer days. This slightly soapy note also fades quite quickly, leaving behind the aforementioned light-juicy impression resting on the musk base.
However, after some time, the scent seems to be very close to the skin, and unfortunately, I felt that the longevity is not very good. After about 4-5 hours, I can no longer perceive the fragrance at all. It's a pity, really, as it is quite pleasant for summer.

Sounds quite nice... definitely going on the watchlist! *Leave the gooseberry tart with meringue topping here*

I had the highest hopes for this one, but I found it unremarkable and too fresh, and just like that, it was gone :-s

I really like the scent at first, it's soft and delicately powdery, tea-like. But that's about it :)
