Meh... not my favorite
It's not bad by any means, but it smells like pretty much any vetiver fragrance out there. It's not unique, but certainly not undesirable either. I tested this fragrance by spraying it on my clean skin in the morning and reapplying in the afternoon while my skin was still fairly clean. The fragrance on clean skin is fine, but I also reapplied it before working out and I honestly liked how it smelled better after sweating.
I know the fragrance is unisex, but in my opinion it would be a nice everyday fragrance for a man, especially since it blends in well with sweat. Sillage is not its strong suit as it's only able to be smelled right on the skin, but vetiver can sometimes be sickening when strong, so that's why I think it would be good for every day. It's very inoffensive. When testing the perfume, I tried to layer it with a cinnamon fragrance oil (it's the only oil I had that I thought would work) to try and make it last longer, but I think it actually weakened the fragrance, as it stayed better on non-oiled skin.
I do not think this fragrance is bad, just a little boring or did not mix with my chemistry well. I tried this as a decant/sample and would not buy a full sized bottle, especially since I find it to be a little pricy. Like if someone I really loved asked to get them this as a gift, I would have no problem doing so, but I don't like it enough to justify the price for me.
Apparently, this is a popular dupe for Le Labo's Santal 33, so if you want to use it or try it as a dupe, be my guest. I have never smelled Santal 33 so I cannot say how accurate it is, but you would have better luck getting your hands on a sample of this than Santal 33 for a more reasonable price.
