I remember the first spray. I kept saying, WOW! This is so smooth!
The combination of bergamot, sage and lavender will start things off. Once that fades, the oud and saffron kicks in as the others are moved to the background.
The oud is perfect. It’s a rich deep woody scent and does not overpower the delicate herbal notes.
This is a high quality fragrance and will stay on skin for hours. Performance is not an issue.
I also noticed that 71 extrait reminds me of a high quality Oud For Greatness by Initio. Both are built on the same dna but OFG does not contain oud and the initial spray is lightweight screechy and synthetic to my nose. Still a fabulous scent though.
This is leaning masculine and definitely worth a sample if you are looking for something different and worthwhile.
