The rounded oud for greatness

At the beginning of my fragrance journey, it all started with designer 0815 fragrances that fulfilled their purpose to smell good but not very individual and long (with the exception of le male which managed to hold felt days in the early 0s). Over the years and especially through YouTube and parfumo I got to know niche fragrances and thus also the ingredient oud know...

well after the one or the other bottlings I understood and succumbed to the fascination for oud.
The beginnings were rather characterized by oud fragrances that have oud on it but in it...?!
Well I think rather less. But as it is so I got a filling of Alexandria2. Hmhmh yes well that had directly into the collection :-)
now it went bottle and bottling for bottling further and among them was also oud for greatness and Widian liwa.

Both were already very similar, the first test was oud for greatness:
The beginning strongly marked by Baccarat Rouge / smoky / oudig / saffron, etc. 3 sprühstoße and everyone who only came near me thought : "the has times so right eingedieselt".
For me too violently. Not because of the h/s but "too dirty"

Now to liwa:
Yes they are already close but liwa is more rounded for my perception. As if one had given oud for greatness to refine and liwa would have come out.

To illustrate it: oud for greatness is when it comes to attention like when you walk naked through the streets and liwa still has a pair of panties on and it says Versace :-)

Well written, but basically Liwa came first and Oud for Greatness is a slightly more synthetic and slightly darker copy of it.

I would say OFG is more similar to Liwa than the other way around, since Liwa came out first. Noses are all different but for me Baccarat Rouge has nothing at all to do with OFG.

No, I think oud for greatness and baccat have no similarity. In oud for greatness and in liwa vipes of baccarat resonate. Where oud for greatness and liwa strike in the same notch and are similar.

Dunno how u guys say Oud for Greatness / Baccarat / Liwa are similar,
i'd mark Liwa off simply as an AJ Arabia creation as it has that DNA associated with the 2 I own (Black 2 & 71 Intense), I've tried so many times to compare Br540 & OfG side by side & get no similarities at all!
Both where purchased from their respective websites directly, incase doubts of authenticity figures in the mind... I'll get a bottle of Liwa soon to also have a 'non sample inspired' comment.

I would also not call him feminine as you wrote softer or for my perception more rounded. Which is my subjective perception. Thanks for your feedback

A very good review and very nicely described. I have both in my collection and for me Oud For Greatness works much better. The scents are really very similar, but OFG is more of a masculine scent and Liwa is the soft little brother. I would not call Liwa, not like most as Feminim, but rather softer.
