Sweet Dreams

It was 4 degrees this morning when I walked to work through a quiet, gray world. The birds were silent, the fallen leaves rustled coolly. Almost unreal, everything lacked warmth. The scents seemed to have succumbed to the cold as well. I pulled my face and nose down into my scarf and dove into another world.

Reflections of warm, cozy fire. Light, smoky resin mixed with a warmth that filled the air with creaminess and made me forget the coolness and apparent emotionlessness of the sleeping world, like a suit of armor. In my mind's eye, I arrived as a wanderer at a bright, warm tent. For hours, I had followed this warm glow of fire. As I entered, a soothing warmth enveloped me, roses and orange blossoms lay in large bowls, exuding a welcoming greeting. Thick carpets invite you to linger. My host nods kindly at me and welcomes me with a gesture of his hand. As I sit down next to him, I notice warm amber notes, bright musk, and pleasantly subtle vanilla. Without really having any influence, I begin to smile, and a feeling of arrival spreads comfortably within me. From now on. Everywhere. Anytime.

Widian achieves with Gold II a composition that has nothing to do with what I knew of orientals. Especially with Ambre Orient as a signature scent, I thought I had already found my definition in terms of reference. While Ambre Orient definitely carries more masculine genes, Gold II is a fragrance that has come into our world, mystical and enchanting, and fascinates me precisely with its restraint. Longevity and sillage are impressive. I can wholeheartedly recommend this fragrance to anyone who wants to discover the fire of the Orient with the magic of serenity.
