The opening is a surprise: I thought I was going to get a creamy scent but it’s fresh, a little tangy, and surprisingly hard to sort through the notes at this stage. It’s damp green and mild resin and tropical flowers and the overwhelming impression is like standing in a monsoon jungle.
Coconut milk and a hint of soft, incense-like malt emerge after about 90 minutes and suddenly the scent has transformed into a lush, creamy, toasted green that lasts for the rest of the wear.
It’s so unexpectedly lovely that I can’t stop sniffing my wrists, and while it shares a certain DNA with both Debaser Eau de Parfum and Parisian Musc Eau de Parfum I think I might prefer this over both of those.
Wild Hybrid fragrances always have remarkable performance for oils, and this one is no exception: while projection is on the low end of moderate, it will last a solid 8 hours. Gender is rainforest malt shop.
