Mint and Iris

Review, the very first one (not just for this perfume, but also for me)!

The fragrance pyramid piqued my curiosity, and at the bargain price at which it was available, I couldn't say "no."

This perfume comes in a pretty dark purple bottle with a dark wooden cap, simple yet quite presentable.

Now, my relationship with mint is divided: I like the herbal scent of fresh mint, but mint oil is too cold and penetrating for me.
The mint in this perfume leans more towards the latter variant: After spraying, the (mint oil) mint clearly dominates the scent, and you can also faintly perceive a citrus note.
Over the next few minutes, however, the mint recedes into the background and remains noticeable as a slightly fresh note, allowing the greener notes of the perfume to have their chance. This progression lasted about half an hour for me.

The perfume then develops towards the base notes, which can still be detected a few hours after spraying, but only from close up. I can't individually pick out most of the notes listed in the pyramid; in my perception, the iris dominates. The overall impression is pleasant and unobtrusive.

Conclusion: Even though the subpolar minty touch at the very beginning isn't quite my thing, the perfume quickly evolves into a balanced direction that combines a slight freshness with the rather velvety impression of the iris. This is not a sillage bomb, but the scent remains present for a long time up close.
As an office scent, this perfume is wonderfully suitable, as it is overall very subtle. And for those who need a bit of freshness in between, just spray again and hold your nose into the emerging mint breeze.
