The Blast is Just a Threat

The cap of the sample vial has just been removed when a wave of 4711-carat Neroli floods out of the small container. Oh wow! But on the skin, the scent is more subtle and, above all, creamier. Aha - the blast was just a threat!

Within hardly half an hour, "Neroli" has settled down to a skin cream level in self-perception. However, in the surroundings, the scent lingers a bit longer and is still quite noticeable. A hint of vanilla might be involved.

After an hour, of course, any orangey fresh-fruity notes have disappeared. What remains is a charmingly floral, clearly feminine musk-cream quality with a tiny bit of a bitter edge that elevates the scent beyond a girlie level. I even find it quite sexy.

That's basically it. A white floral skin cream, a bit soapy in the evening. As such, it has very good longevity. This is of course not for me, but I’m not surprised that the scent is simply liked by many. Great price-performance ratio.

I thank Tiara for the sample.

At first, I thought it didn't last long either. Over time, I realized it really needs warmth. Then it lasts much longer.

When it comes to Essence, you expect something long-lasting, and I've often been disappointed...

Ah... you shouldn't have used the nasty "soapy" word. Trophy down :)

The Secrets aren't too bad at all. I like **Rose Absolute** and **Vanilla Noir**. The price/performance is okay. **Neroli** wasn't really my thing. But still, not to be dismissed completely. I don't wear them anymore, though...

Could definitely be something for my wife. We’ll probably stop by during our next city stroll....

That's great that you're writing about this brand. I happened to get two colognes that are surprisingly good. The short longevity doesn't bother me at all.

Overall, a good brand. Fair and solid price-performance ratio.

I just tested all the men's and unisex fragrances at the Yves Rocher store today and picked up Cuir Vetiver (very nice) along with two minis (20 ml: Mandarine... and Fleurs d'Oranger...). They have a lot to offer, especially at such low prices. I don't know this one, and of course, some are pretty mediocre.
