Tel Quel Yves Rocher 1995 Eau de Toilette
5
Welcome to the Year 1995
Tel Quel was one of those Yves Rocher fragrances that my mother always ordered a mini of with her YR purchases. At that time, it might not have been anything special and, like most of the products from the French natural cosmetics shop, it was inexpensive, which is why many fragrances from this brand found their way into our home. Vie Prive茅, Ispahan, Chevrefeuille, or the old Nature were regular guests in my mother's collection, and I never really saw anything else remarkable, so I grew up with these scents, which is why I associate quite a bit with Tel Quel.
Just this week, a full 100ml splash bottle arrived at my doorstep. During my first eager test on the skin, I closed my eyes and stood in the living room of our old apartment; I was 10 years old and the world was still okay!
Whether it is a top-class fragrance or just a mid-range Yves Rocher scent doesn't matter in this case. One thing is for sure: there won't be another fragrance like this, so I'm glad I can now enjoy the bottle I acquired for a long time.
I'm still a bit surprised at how poorly it is rated here, because it's really not that bad...
The fresh teen note at the beginning, combined with neroli, connects with the coriander, which thankfully doesn't stand out too much, and then soon transitions to the base notes of woody accords. Here it also becomes slightly sweet, but not overly so. Clear, fresh, sweetish, perfect! It is a delightful companion from spring into summer; there I prefer even more citrusy scents until it can be replaced in autumn by Aztek from the same house, which then lasts into winter.
The longevity is not bad in itself, but it remains rather close to the skin throughout. P/L compared to the standards of the time: top!

Such a scent flashback is really something special and incredibly compelling - nothing can compare to it... Enjoy your new purchase and happy holidays, Susanne!
