Walk in the coniferous forest on a warm summer's day
Since I've become a little more interested in fragrances and perfumes, I occasionally open my parents' bathroom cupboard to see if there's a perfume hiding there that needs testing. Among all the unused aftershaves, which were probably all presents, I actually discovered a perfume - and my interest was immediately piqued.
The bottle looked a little older in style and the scent of the cap wasn't quite to my taste. Nevertheless, I tried it on my wrist.
At first, it was unusually stinging on the skin, but this quickly faded. The top note wasn't my cup of tea either, and I thought: "Another stinker." But then the fragrance changed surprisingly quickly: it developed a slightly sweet, woody-warm character that I hadn't expected. Shortly afterwards, a subtle vanilla note was added.
The fragrance reminds me of a walk through a coniferous forest on a warm summer's day. Even though it may not smell exactly like that, it triggers this image for me.
I am pleasantly surprised and could well imagine wearing it myself.
