I have thought long about which fragrance to write my first review for. When I recently bought this scent, it became clear to me.
I am a very big fan of iris, and the Dior Homme line has been my favorite fragrance line for a long time.
What makes Rue de Bellechasse so special for me? I have a picture in my mind:
A large dark room in an old manor house. Noble furniture, lots of dark wood, heavy curtains in front of the large windows, and a bowl with partially burned incense in one corner. The room radiates wealth, tranquility, but also something dark. On a table illuminated by a sunbeam that falls through the gap in the curtains, however, there is a flower. Delicate, bright, beautiful. It is this interplay that makes the fragrance so special for me. Oud, patchouli, and resins create a deep woody, slightly smoky scene. Noble but also somewhat decadent/dirty. The iris rises from this, however, very bright and slightly powdery. This creates, in my opinion, a heavy, rather masculine scent with a twist that makes it so attractive and perfect.
An absolutely unique creation that I no longer want to be without!
