Kouros Yves Saint Laurent 1981 Eau de Toilette

It was during my primary school years in the 90s. It was winter, bitterly cold and pitch dark. The alarm clock rang at 6:30 a.m. on the dot. It was time to get up. Still half asleep, I made my way to the bathroom, where my father was already getting ready for work. The bathroom smelled of aftershave and Nivea face cream. A quick glance at the clock. Damn, I'm late again, my father cursed and quickly left the bathroom. He came running back relatively quickly to spray on 5-6 sprays of Kouros. What remained was a cloud of pure masculinity. I always looked up to my father and always thought he was great. He worked in the bank and attached great importance to a well-groomed appearance and, of course, the right fragrance. Suit with tie and leather shoes. With Kouros, you are taken seriously and respected, he always told me.
He bought this fragrance on his graduation trip to Paris in 1985. Slowly, slowly, his bottle is coming to an end. However, he doesn't have the heart to use up the last drops of his Kryptonite.
Sometimes I spray myself with Kouros to feel strong and invincible. I haven't really smelled this fragrance since 1998. I have heard of many reformulations and that it has lost some of its power. Nevertheless, it will always have a special value in my life. Security, strength, nostalgia ...
