The old Opium is much richer ;-) Despite the diet, the new one is wearable. Just a lot more lean. What surprised me, though, was the longevity. Often the "new" ones disappear quickly, but this one doesn’t. Of course, it doesn’t quite compare to the original, but around ~7 hours is decent.
