No comments yet on this offshoot of Rive Gauche pour Homme?! Let's change that now.
I have only recently discovered the fragrances of Yves Saint Laurent. Unfortunately, very late. However, I have always liked Opium pour Homme very much, but I always thought it was too drastic. Only in today's time and with increasing age do I truly appreciate its uniqueness.
After Rive Gauche pour Homme completely blew me away upon careful testing, I thought that a more intense version for the evening would not be a bad idea. This little drop is still available online.
I don't find the differences between the original and the Intense version to be that significant. What makes this version, in my opinion, more suitable for the evening is the more subdued soapy quality. It is still present here, but not as piercing. The whole thing develops into a very slightly powdery direction. This very light powder note has nothing to do with Dior homme. A very pleasant and elegant going-out fragrance.
Why do such small and affordable treasures never receive the appreciation they deserve?
