My Summer Wardrobe
Apparently not a widely known fragrance, Trench. Only 16 Parfumos own it, and only 4 of them are men. Both of these facts surprise me, as I find Trench neither bad nor feminine. Completely unisex, just as it is declared.
Moreover, I have never let the gender-based percentage distribution stop me from buying a fragrance that is predominantly owned by women. The l'Homme from the same house is more feminine/metrosexual - and it is declared as a men's fragrance.
Trench starts with a wonderfully fresh, slightly woody, and somewhat fruity top note, which comes across as very elegant, modern, and unobtrusive.
The composition is led here directly by bergamot and fig, underpinned by iris, musk, and fir. There is also a slightly bitter/sour note that makes it more interesting than other standard citrus fragrances. I would be lying if I didn't guess that this comes from the tangerine or neroli, or the interplay of the two. I like it anyway.
Keyword iris: it gives the fragrance a perfect measure of powderiness and adds elegance. The Prada l'homme, which also whistles a very similar tune, has overdone it with the iris in my opinion, making it too dominant, so that the fragrance comes across as somewhat "heavy" and cloying. Trench has solved this better.
Once the iris distributes its powderiness, it is replaced by neroli with a handshake, and together with the musk and cedar, you get a wonderful, slightly greenish base note that lingers until the fragrance fades away.
All in all, an extremely pleasant, crowd-pleasing yet distinctive fragrance, suitable for any occasion and any time of day. Perfect for spring and summer, for the office, for stylish outings during the day, or as a room fragrance for those for whom money plays a less important role in life :D
The only thing that makes me smile a bit is the longevity. It is not terribly bad for a fresh fragrance of this class, but it could certainly be better, considering the price.
5-6 hours are quite achievable, although Trench becomes more intimate after 4 hours and no longer radiates.
I can definitely recommend it - Trench will surely accompany me often this spring and summer and be a member of my wardrobe.

I only have a sample, but maybe it will turn into a full bottle someday. It's definitely a beauty!
And you definitely have to try Magnificent Gold!
