There are some fragrances that have an offputting note to some people.
I know I'm in the minority here, but that's just my experience.
This fragrance has quite a strong resinous note that doesn't bode well with me. It's like olibanum or elemi but much worse (I'm not opposed to the aforementioned). I'm getting a headache from this fragrance because of it.
Without that note it would be fine, but nothing ground breaking. It's like a slightly sweet woody aromatic. I actually quite like the woody and aromatic notes, but this one resin note I just cannot get past.
For what I read, it has not olibanum nor elemi, so most probably it is the sage or the vetiver that is putting you off. check if that happens with other famous scents that contain sage like Y EDP, Y LIVE, Profumo, or vetiver like Bleu de Chanel, Eros, La Nuit de l'Homme, Spicebomb.
Nope, it's not sage or vetiver in general. I like Encre Noir Sport, Terre D'Hermes (+Eau Intense Vetiver), Y EDP, ADG Profumo, Bleu de Chanel and Spicebomb.
