This Is Her! Zadig & Voltaire 2016

This Is Her! is being recommended by pretty much everyone at the moment. Whether it's a recommendation from the Douglas saleswoman or a recommendation from the fragrance community. There's no getting around the fragrance. So I went to Douglas to test the fragrance in question. Immediately after spraying it on, I became suspicious. Wait a minute....that sounds familiar. So I quickly went to Parfumo and looked at the fragrance pyramid. It jumped straight into my eye: "Chestnut". That's what I smelled. Chestnuts.

It has become a tradition in our family over the last few years that I am responsible for the soup at Christmas. And what could be better than a creamy chestnut soup? Apart from the taste, the whole house is filled with this creamy aroma.

Yes, and for me it's actually this scent that I find in This Is Her! that I can no longer "over-smell". It is the most present for me because of the association and I can't get it out of my nose.

Not a bad thing per se, but I don't want to smell like my Christmas soup....
