I was looking for something to layer with my vanillas to add depth and this really pulled through. It has a clean yet simple composition. Lasts forever. Outperforms everything I layer over it. 10 hours later I can still smell it as I move.
Sweet frankincense and creamy sandalwood, smokey in a mysterious way, not campfire at all. Unisex slightly leaning masculine due to a very minimal cologne type of smell in the deep dry down but it simply keeps it fresh. No axe body spray vibes at all. I can’t smell the grapefruit but while this is deep and dark, it still has fresh and bright facets.
Layers under This is Her! with absolute perfection. I have a small 30 ml bottle and am finding this will be a winter staple, might just spring for a 100 ml as I already feel I don’t want to be without this one. Enhances every type of vanilla and blends seamlessly.
Absolutely agree with your description! You've perfectly captured the essence of This Is Him!. Your analysis of the combination of fresh and deep notes and its ability to enhance vanilla is spot on. I also find it a worthwhile fragrance, especially for the fall events. Great review!
