The Greatfruit

I have to admit that this was my first experience with a Zara fragrance at the time. And I was so positively impressed that I thought there must be an incredible number of Zara fragrances that are good if they are all available in this price range. Well, over time, I've learned that Zara is often a real crapshoot. However, there is one clear exception here.

The first spray hits you with an incredibly fresh grapefruit note. Just close your eyes for a moment, imagine a chic AirBnB in the south and cut open a grapefruit on the terrace with a somewhat blunt knife so that the splashes get on your clothes and hands. If you have experience with grapefruit and can visualize it well, then it probably smells just like your imagination right now. It somehow smells like intense warm sun accompanied by a gentle breeze.

For me, the noble vetiver note also comes in quite clearly and quite quickly. This rounds off the fragrance nicely and doesn't come across as too sweet. Admittedly, the combination is not particularly innovative, but it still seems to be an art to blend them in such a way that something so subtly beautiful is created.

However, the longevity, which is unfortunately to be expected with a freshie like this, leaves a lot to be desired. Unfortunately, I didn't enjoy it for more than 3 hours. But luckily I bought more than one bottle at the time. It's nice to see that the fragrance is now also available in the new bottles. Maybe one of them will end up in my cupboard.
