Violetta is dedicated to Marie-Louise of Austria (Habsburg). A strong woman who, against her will and conviction, agreed to marry Napoleon to end the suffering of Europe and its people. She hated this little vengeful tyrant and in her new home Parma she quickly became an icon for the people. Loved for her kind and especially the care for "her" people.
She loved the violets of Parma and they can also be found in this wonderful and almost silent fragrance in the best company with lavender and especially the warm, darker tones of resin and ambrette.
This fragrance pays homage to strength and selflessness and yet is calm and completely in selfawareness. I also like to wear it as a man - it is like a warm blanket in autumnal grey.
