...and the office ladies all urgently had to attend the "half past midnight" appointment - welcome to the 90s! I confess, I LOVE 90s fragrances, especially the whole range around Calvin Klein, Hilfiger and Ralle Lauren. Unisex was all the rage, the fragrances were wonderfully unsweet, slightly sporty, mostly citrusy, floral-green or aquatic. Some of my all-time favorites are from this period, they are suitable for everyday/office use, don't get on anyone's nerves and don't kill people or houseplants as they pass by. Even if you overdose a little, you can even stand it in the elevator.
Sophia Grojsman is also the creator of
Eternity Eau de Parfum, which is almost as 90s as
CK One Eau de Toilette - both have been an integral part of my collection for over 25 years, which is why
360° for Women Eau de Toilette immediately caught my attention - I have no idea why I didn't have it on my radar before.
You could now have a wonderful discussion about how blue and red or pink roses smell differently - you could just leave it at that, because I don't notice any rose in the top note or later! If you're afraid of the listed melon - don't worry, it's non-existent! 360° is a lot, but fortunately fruity-sweet is not on the list of fragrances.
The fragrance starts freshly citrusy, soft and without bite and then very quickly turns green-white. Sophie had already used the combination of very subtle lily of the valley, sage and green notes in
Eternity Eau de Parfum and well, you don't have to reinvent the wheel and make the tried and tested worse. In the 90s, lily of the valley and jasmine were used much more as a white accord and not as a soloist, the advantage here is the lower risk of headache. It simply adds up to a fresh creamy scent. Towards the back, I see a second-degree relationship with the much younger
Beauty Eau de Parfum. I am absolutely not a fan of vanilla - fortunately, it is not singularly recognizable here, but remains in the cuddly musk-wood base. Vetiver keeps the sometimes annoying and somewhat assertive sandalwood in check, good teamwork!
The fragrance is feminine but office-tough, not playful but straightforward (the bottle suits it very well!), more DiY woman than faux-nail.
360° lasts me 3-4 hours without any problems, but after that it can still be felt like a delicate body lotion. P/L is sensational! I will buy it sooner or later (rather sooner) as an office fragrance.
