From the concentrated essence of my long deceased grandma, to the coolest perfume I own
I absolutely hated this stuff at first.
It was a combination of my late grandmama's Animalic old person smell (sorry granny, but no one knows what nonenal means. i had to google it just now to find out);
Mixed in with her 80s rose fragrance, DIRTY oud spiced with a lot of animal excrement
But now
Oh my god this shit is a masterpiece.
(Pls excuse the pun, i promise it was an accident)
It walks such a fine line between;
1. The above mentioned grandma essence and barnyard oud
2. A hyper sensual gentlemen's musty office scent
With soft rose petals, expensive old leather couches that need to be cleaned but they're kinda cool because they're a bit dirty
It's very musty and reminds me of the my dad's office that we weren't allowed in as kids
With leather bound books that have been collecting dust for 10 years and have big words that I don't understand
It's not an entry level perfume
and if you don't like any of the notes listed you will probably find this difficult at first
but if you give it time I promise you'll change your mind
Please don't overspray though;
it's disgusting and selfish if you use more than 2-3 sprays
!! Surprise!! this is not a crowd pleaser
If you wear this to work people will think you smell weird at first
But on the 2nd sniff I personally guarantee they will fall in love with your rich masculine aroma
Unless they're like 99.99% of the population who doesn't spend half their income on smelly artisinal water
A personal must own, 10/10 masterpiece and the most engaging perfume I have ever tried
Adi Ale Van is 100% worth the hype.
I was so ready to be disappointed by all the tiktok posts but man, his sample set is one of my best ever purchases

Funny... This took me straight back to my grandma's house circa 1994. She lived in a different country, didn't see her much, but smell is a powerful thing.
