Pleasant almond scent with a lot of sweetness, delicate rose, and rather little complexity
Sweet opening, almond and almond milk lightly sweetened, vanilla-like, along with already delicate rose oil, very subtle resinous and bright galbanum. Very feminine, creamy, and cozy, only slightly dry.
20-40 minutes in, a lot of delicate rose now enveloped by creamy jasmine and heliotrope, bright sandalwood, and a gentle silk scarf of the subtlest amber and patchouli.
In the later dry down, then soft musk with a bit of freshness, intense vanilla, and some light amber, slightly floral.
You might notice from the rather short and concise descriptions that I am quite disappointed with the good. Given the rating and some statements, I expected a) something better and b) sometimes something quite different, especially with "sweet-woody" and the notes overall. For me, there is very little wood, rather a lot of gourmand with an overwhelming presence of almond and vanilla, which together make up more than half of the scent on my skin.
One truly nice aspect is the patchouli framing the almond for 30-40 minutes in between, which, due to its bitter-grassy note, makes it seem as if the almond has returned to a more bitter shell, while overall it remains quite sweet. Otherwise, it's just a nice almond scent, very consistent, very sweet, and rather boring for me.
