The eyes of the gazelle smell like a lukewarm autumn day, colorful leaves swirl over paths, a spark of a healed and joyful world glimmers. A sandalwood corset; aromatic, atmospheric, anti-elegiac. Garnished with the rough-ripened citrus of a bergamot peel along with its entourage.
Usurper musk drives away the heir, Indian oud, which fades embedded in roses like a horn in the fog. Mighty yet in the felt spatial maelstrom, just a moment, but with a balanced elegance. Here I agree with Faust and the moment he desired; my soul just doesn't have to pay the price for it.
Advancing seriousness, an aura of lavender freshness on a woody incense base. It does not smoke; no thurible is swung to the point of unconsciousness, trance, or whatever. Gently like the crackling and hissing of a once-mighty fire under the influence of raindrops: nasty and viscous, exhaling the olfactory breath ad infinitum.
To be honest with you (source of the quote, my own son), I have never tested a perfume that could weave not only oud and rose together but also establish a clean, non-negatively connoted citrus as an additional layer. Typically, this combination is accompanied by a pejorative eye roll. Here, the distinction of the rose is emphasized, the citrus is no less an olfactory patrician, the oud initially heavy, then successively becomes the pedestal for the described duo. Craftsmanship at its best.
We all know oud and rose. Oud plus citrus is regularly attempted to be married. This bond is often of delicate performance, very much in the spirit of the ratio of marriages/divorces. Here, this circumstance is absent due to the sandalwood with its floral sidekick. Garnished with moderate spice, nothing more is needed to recognize that this gazelle is a magnificent creature to admire. Intoxicated as if visiting the Lotophagi, I must, lacking a helping hand, lift myself as Odysseus in personal union onto the symbolic ship, set sail, and conclude my (probably/for now) last review here. Au Revoir.
Just read this now and found it to be very valuable words. You're not writing anymore?! That's a shame! But all the best for your journey, wherever it may lead...
Goodbye, Chizza! And again, one of the truly serious, good ones is leaving. That really hurts. Take care, and if you ever change your mind: I wouldn't be the only one who would be happy about it.
I personally find rose and oud redundant, but sometimes they can work well together; I've never found citrus and oud convincing; all three together sounds really nice in your case...
Chosen words! Faustian wishes in the face of a special fragrance are familiar to me as well. The soul doesn't suffer, but the eternal lingering of the beloved scent has never really happened either. Maybe that's for the best. Always room for something new. It's lovely how the gazelle and the elephant soar together here! May they accompany this Odysseus! Au Revoir!
I also really like the multi-layered shimmer, well-fertilized, sandalwood corset of the delicate gazelle. # Hope you don’t take 20 years to find your way back too. First Franfan says goodbye, now you. Au Revoir.
I like it a lot too. I just haven't found such nice words as you have, thanks for the great description! And - Odysseus did come back in the end, I would be very sad if we really couldn't hear your voice in the reviews anymore 😥

I hope we can at least catch a glimpse of you on the horizon and that you don't sail away completely...
