Smooth & Harmless
A smooth, and softly blended amaglam of oud, silky leather and vetiver. The evolution of the scent profile is so level and gentle, that after a while it smells like a dark chocolate with the softest of leathers. Hence, to me it's quiet reminiscent of Pardon by Nasomatto, and that's my biggest clash with the scent; that something named Dark Souls, should have been much more intense, stinky, and setting your nostrils ablaze.
All these intense elements that are ascribed as notes by the perfumer are very mellow, and easy on the nose. Apart from this discrepancy between the name of the scent and the expectations it sets for itself, it is a very lovely fluid perfume.
Some alternatives to it could be Cuoium by Orto Parisi, Black Knight by Francesca Bianchi, or even T-Rex by Zoologist. In these scents the accords of raw leather, medieval vegetation, scenery that is ablaze, rustic armour are much more prominent.
