The bee said: Come closer!
Under the wax membrane
Matte orange
Flowers swayed
In languid summer nights
Listening to resin wing beats *

In my opinion, the house consistently delivers high quality.

I'm currently trying out different ones and can confirm that. Of course, not everything is to my taste, but there's no doubt about the quality.

I'll chime in briefly, @Marieposa and @Gschpusi! The summer solstice is the day after tomorrow, and the summer nights are almost within reach. ☺️

Aside from the "animalistic" part, it actually sounds pretty good 🤪

I know, and I really appreciate that. 🥰 I've understood you correctly, no worries. Admittedly, I might not be the best reference for how much animalic is animalic. 🤷🏼‍♂️🤣 @Maren11

@Midnights I always read your review-worthy comments. 🥰 But just the fact that others seem to find it animalistic makes me very skeptical. 😅

In my description, there's no "animalic" mentioned; I don't perceive it that way. I dare say you still wouldn't like it (as usual 😂). Too classic.

Beautiful picture, I'm listening. And I'm actually always quite happy when the scents sound lovely but I don't have to sprint to my wishlist every time.

I tend to prefer scents that are either sky-high joyful or, well... not too down in the dumps, but more of a light-hearted vibe. I'm a bit unsure about this solid middle ground. 😊

I don't find it sweet at all. The waxy layer feels more balsamic.

Yeah, because of the wax, it looks like this scent won't be making an entrance.

A little less of that, and a bit more flowers and spice would have done the fragrance good.

* Angelos Balamis seems to love the past. Everything I've tested from him so far moves forward, yet keeps a good eye on the past in the rearview mirror. “Yassemi” is classic in the best sense, just like the elegant aldehyde fireworks in the opening. Fruity streaks and plenty of galbanum flirt with the past. Calm sets in as the fragrance grows a membrane of wax in a matte orange. Hidden beneath: thoughtful, serious flowers, a bit herbal, slightly bitter, especially human-like jasmine, clean but not freshly showered, the exalted naive chamomile, and tropical, enchanting blooms. The rest is so tightly bound that unraveling it seems pointless. Dry, salty amber mixes with resinous veils, splashes of patchouli with not too puffed-up musk. I would have liked the scent to be a bit more vibrant. Despite its beauty, it loses some of its brilliance a bit too quickly. But Angelo has eased my wax fears.
