Cozy masala chai (REAL NOT CLICKBAIT)
This is my first chai scent that I bought after hearing the description of not only a realistic strong tea scent but an added clay note. I'm always super into gourmands that have that extra funky note that evoke a more specific experience beyond "here is a food item/beverage that everyone recognizes". It starts off with a very energetic blast of cardamom, like when you first steep the tea and it's freshly made. Then as it dries down you get a hint of biscuit that is present but not cloying! Think of this as dipping it in your (very strong) tea as you drink it and the clay cup you're drinking out of starts to combine with everything else the closer you get to the bottom. I actually smell more of the biscuit and enveloping warm milkiness in the background on skin than on paper, which was interesting. It is not so strong that it becomes a cookie scent though. I still have yet to try scents like Chai Epice (LMG) or Sorce's Snow Moon Magic, but I decided on this for my first Chai scent bc I wanted a more grounded and focused interpretation that wasn't necessarily the americanized super-sweet chai latte cookie that I'm used to seeing. Though I'm still interested in the former two for different reasons, I don't regret trying this one at all!
