Confused Little Flower
Since the sun didn't come to us today, I thought I would bring the sun and spring to me. Said and done, I reached for my samples and grabbed Hana-Cha. Yes, the bottle looks lovely and jasmine... mmm... it can only be beautiful.
I dabbed it on my arm and there it was, the lovely jasmine combined with bergamot. But what was that, hissing... thud... gone... wood wherever the nose sniffed. Not just a piece of wood, no, whole layers, just like they are stored in our garage during winter. Stacked up to keep our behinds warm in the cold season.
I am completely confused and look again at the sample, yes, the name is correct, but the fragrance note does not belong here. Maybe the label was switched, where has my jasmine gone? So I went to the PC and googled it. Ah ha, I see, there we have the crux of the matter. A crucial fragrance note was forgotten here. Cedarwood, and this is absolutely dominant in this scent. A bit disappointed by this turn of events, I still give it the chance to develop.
2 hours later... The woody-balsamic scent is still in the foreground, but you can detect a delicate merging with the fresh, slightly lemony bergamot and the lovely jasmine. This gives the overall scent a very calming and balanced effect.
I would classify Hana-Cha more as unisex, and lovers of cedarwood will truly enjoy this Eau de Parfum......
Postscript: I had to raise the longevity of the scent. This morning it was still with me. Maybe to show me, hey, I can also be quite lovely....
