The Growl from the Background...
... leaves great impressions that raise many questions. Where do these rough-powdery afterscents come from? What creates the unfathomable depths from which a mysterious growl seems to emerge? Soft, echoing-dark. And simultaneously illuminated by bright green light. I must now think of vetiver and cypress. This duet dominates the fragrance.
But that alone does not explain these powdery spice veils that lay like gauze over everything. Not quite as dark as the "growling depths," rather somewhat "shady" in its endeavor to conquer the nose. Could it be the pepper along with the mugwort? Certainly, for in this twilight lies a peppery green tone. And time and again, cypress and vetiver come to mind - now with balsamic-woody and slightly smoky inlays. Firmly embedded like marquetry with different woods. Glazed with a thin layer of patchouli.
Slowly but surely, all the aromas come together. The "growl" continues - it is the choir of dark scents that are fully aware of their power and magic. The perfume does not reveal all its secrets completely, yet that is precisely what makes "The Black Python" so alluring. One never knows what it is plotting when it lurks in the underbrush. Only its rustling growl gives it away - if you listen VERY closely :-))
