Yes, scents can be perceived so differently. I wouldn't say I find it ambiguous, though. It starts off with something that somehow reminds me of stale plant juice, and then over the hours, more and more disharmonies and olfactory stressors come in that I just find exhausting. I can hardly recognize the two namesakes, ginger and incense. This scent might be great for others - but it totally overwhelms me.
