Well made, soft, understated, and of high quality. The individual notes of the fragrance pyramid are not easily detectable. Of course, there are many fragrance notes that have been "built in" here. Unfortunately, the performance for me is also not as described by many here. The Pure Amber comes across as very delicate, soft, and almost shy. The iris, the white tobacco, as well as the woods, namely cedar and sandalwood, are, in my opinion, the most present.
The bottle, the sprayer, and the packaging are convincing.
It's always possible for a fragrance that doesn't really appeal to you to still be well-made and of high quality. The performance (here, the combination of longevity and sillage) isn't what I expected. I'll check if an 8 is accurate soon and adjust it if necessary.
Performance not as expected....!??? Maybe "expected" is the wrong word here. You do have certain expectations when the performance is rated more than good. Whether that expectation is right or wrong is another matter. The basic DNA just isn't for me.
I don't quite understand - your rating doesn't seem to match your text for me. You say the performance isn't that great, but you give longevity an 8? Also, you mention that the notes are well achieved, it smells nice and is well done, yet you only give it a 6.5 and say "too bad"? Maybe I read it wrong, but it sounds contradictory to me.
