Powerful Aromatics with a Warm-Sensual Base

The galbanum resin, derived from umbelliferous plants and indicated as a top note, is said to have a unique and recognizable scent. Balsamic, earthy, herbal, slightly green-bitter with woody and spicy notes, it is supposed to give perfumes a fresh-green touch. Notes of mint leaves and cut herbs, as well as a light scent of peas, are associated with it. Unfortunately, I have not yet smelled galbanum as a fragrance essence.

In the opening of Explosion, I perceive a strong, spicy, slightly bitter, fresh, and at the same time warm aromatic profile that reminds me of Mark II by Jaguar (which I miss very much), although the two fragrances are said to share only patchouli as a scent note.

The initially pronounced aromatic profile soon transitions into a lasting, warm, soft, complex mild sweetness that makes this fragrance very pleasant and also sensual to my nose, without being intrusive. The animalic notes of leather and oud are very subtle, and the patchouli is exclusively spicy and not earthy.

The longevity is good to very good; after eight hours or more, it is still quite noticeable when experienced up close.
Explosion by Azha is thus, for me, a wearable and versatile fragrance that could serve well as an oriental entry scent for Western noses. In any case suitable for the cooler seasons, it could also be appropriate in the warmer months, at least in the evening.

The classically designed heavy bottle is topped with a similarly heavy, gold-colored turban-like metal cap.
