Oud with a touch of vanilla

This smells like a high quality oud, no barnyard or animalic, seems like a clean natural/real oud, rich & deep woody, slightly smoky, reminded me a bit of Dhanal Oudh Nashwah by Rasasi, but this is higher quality, a tiny bit of sweetness. It opens with saffron but not very heavy, I basically smell this very woody oud from the start and after an hour or two the patchouli and vanilla come up a bit more. The sprayer is excellent, and I noticed the saffron and other top notes better when spraying from a distance. The longevity is good, I would say 8+ hours, on clothes longer. The sillage seems to be subtile. The 'juice' is very oily. It does have a depth that remains to be interesting and having a calming effect, I guess that's the almost addictive quality of oud.
No rose, so that's a plus if you don't like rose. I think this is much more suitable for a man than a woman. Didn't try to layer it, but I think this would be a good one for it if you would like to give more depth to a vanilla / amber type of scent, or any other that would be suitable for matching the oud note. To my nose this is 90% woody oud. The main reason to buy this perfume is the price/quality ratio & the perfumer is (junior) Paul Guerlain, I guess related to the Guerlain perfume family. For me a reason to blind buy.
