Maltol and akigala are too present for my liking.

I like quite a few BDKs, so I’ll give this one a sniff, but I’m 99% sure I won’t like it… :/

@Longevity I think the opening is intriguing but most guys won't like the drydown.
Give it a sniff though, you never know.

@Ceesie To put it simply, it's like the female leaning equivalent of Haltane.
A good composition that fights for its dear life, but ultimately drowns in a pool of maltol.

Derivative perfumery seems to be doing just fine, then. Although I must say something about combining akigalawood with gourmand notes makes me nauseous, even just the thought of it. Can't imagine your wife enjoyed this either?

She's fine with it, but wouldn't buy a bottle.
It's not nauseating until the moment ethyl maltol and akigalapoop make themselves known. They steal the show in a bad way.
Until then (for an hour or so) it's an uplifting interplay between fresh and canned fruits, jammy, yet slightly tart rose and spicy vanilla.
