Starts with tart cassis, then nose dives into a tea tin (dry black tea). (presumably) synthetic ambered wood base gives stamina.

Unfortunately, I can smell saffron here, which isn't listed at all. Still, it's a lovely tea scent. Better than expected :-)

I first thought of Tom Joad from "The Grapes of Wrath," but that doesn't really fit for me either...
What does BIBBI say? IN SOME CIRCLES, IT IS KNOWN THAT AROUND 2% OF THE WORLD’S POPULATION IS INVISIBLE TO US. FOR AN UNCHOSEN HUMAN, THEY ARE UNFORTUNATELY INVISIBLE, MADE OF MATTER, NOT FROM THIS WORLD… THEY ARE COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE "GHOSTS OF TOM."
Ahhh yes...

And who was Tom? His spirit doesn't entice me right now.

I completely agree with you; when I criticize synthetic notes, it usually smells synthetic.

Not Tom Riddle ;) No Horcrux danger... but this one is quite nice, fresh, and I actually like dry tea. I don't condemn all synthetic scents outright - they just have to be well done.
