Nostalgic Musk

I have been searching for a nostalgic "Doll head" fragrance for awhile. MiimMiic 52 (their version of Melanie Martinez Cry Baby which I never smelled) came very close and even got me a bit emotional at first, taking me back to opening my new dolls in the 80s. n I got the Strawberry Shortcake perfume from Scentbird and that was just like a generic Strawberry gourmand- no "doll" scent in sight. nn While I'm old enough that Bratz dolls weren't a part of my childhood, I was intrigued by Doll Skin and I'm so impressed! It definitely gave me a sense of nostalgia and I love the doll skin accord in it. It's perfectly powdery and skin-like with just enough "plastic" to make it feel unique. The strawberry in this is definitely an artificial strawberry- less like dessert or fresh fruits and more like, well, a strawberry scented doll! nn I think you would have to like fragrances in the powdery, musky, your-skin-but-better category to find this a safe blind buy. I feel Boy Smells missed the mark by labeling this as a Gourmand and think they may have some upset customers if they are going into this expecting a Gourmand. nn I found this lasted a good 5ish hours on my skin and it just gets prettier as it dries down.
