perfect fruity purple woods with a sharp edge
i've always been a big fan of that combination of fruity/woody/spicy. though i dont know if this counts as spicy - maybe sharp is the word? for example, "cashmere plum" is a generic concept that shares some of the attributes that i associate with Woodphoria (2025) - it's like a sleek, comforting, sexy, edgy vibe that feels appropriate for any time of the year.
this smells PURPLE. i assume that this is largely from the jasmine, which when prominent usually dominates any scent with that dark purple smell. however this is a purple with a lot of wood to back it up, the texture in this scent is really one of the biggest highlights for me.
i'm sure the cardamom provides some of the warmth and spice, but i feel like the spice for me mostly comes from the fig leaf and the cedarwood. cedarwood has quickly become one of my favorite notes, and it's almost like i can feel a nice sanded wood planting pot here.
also!! not for nothing, today is my birthday, and this was the first fragrance i went for. i briefly considered my other favorites, which are curently Vanilla Musk Perfume Oil and Multiball. but there is something about Woodphoria (2025) that feels nostalgic, and it also just feels perfect for my body chemistry. i haven't really loved a fragrance like this in a while. i love this purple bitch.
ALSO!!!! the longevity is INSANE. i sprayed a little bit on a shirt one day, hung it back up in my closet and forgot about it, then a week later i could STILL smell it enough to where i didnt feel the need to spray any on myself. projection feels perfect - fills a small room but not offensively. i cant tell if it changes over time - i just know when i walked into a room my partner is in while they were wearing it, i was like "wow!!! i can smell it from the hallway!"
