Better to Avoid This Chill-Out Zone

I don't know where iParfumerie gets their samples from, but they are certainly not everyday scents. Unfortunately, they mostly offer cheap, quick-shot junk like Mexx, celebrity fragrances, or in this case, Curve Chill for Men. I believe it’s an American discount brand, quite popular among teenagers there and also very inexpensive. Perhaps comparable to Bruno Banani here in Germany. Unfortunately, Curve Chill even falls below the low BB standard. A pretty terrible perfume, even for fragrance newbies and teenagers, far from a recommendation. More on the level of Axe!

CC doesn’t smell really ordinary, but it is very unnatural, sticky synthetic, and also indecisive. No wonder with 4 perfumers involved. But I think they could have brought in another 4 - this baby has already fallen into the well. Citrusy aldehyde top note - piercing and almost reminiscent of chlorine. Creepy and perhaps acceptable for lifeguards. Then a bit of pepper comes in, and if that’s supposed to be tea, it’s children’s tea from a plastic can with a big rubber aftertaste. That certainly wasn’t the intention, and one wonders how it passed quality control. I definitely don’t judge a perfume just based on its price or reputation, but here all the warnings are justified. The dry down could vaguely be identified as musk, but it’s hard to tell.

Bottle: reminiscent of fakes and KiK perfumes.
Sillage: only minimal presence during sports and good circulation.
Longevity: even 5 hours would be asking too much!

Absolutely not a problem that Curve perfumes are not found in Germany. What is offered here is underground, artificial, and more likely to irritate than to chill!

Richtig übel - muss ich gleich abwaschen. Aber sehr gut beschrieben.
