Is This What They Call "Fuzz Therapy"?

This fragrance is so interesting to me and I'm definitely in love.

Fist I just want to say that fragrance is art and obviously not everyone is going to love something. I can see how this would be a contentious fragrance, it has a fuzzy, musky smell underneath the herbal green notes and fresh vanilla cake. This fragrance and generally all of the things I've smelled from d. grayi are extremely unique and really embody how fragrance can be an art form. It truly is feat of creative genius. Moving on.

I personally am not a fan of animalic notes, they really really turn me off of fragrance. Generally they really smell a little bit fecal or like body odor lol. The civettone in Low Carb Cat however, is not stinky and it does not really give off a distinct small mammal odor? It's cozy, musky, and fuzzy, like a sherpa blanket or jacket, if that makes any sense. If you are roommates with a cat (lol), you'll understand that smell in the softest fur of their bellies if what this kind of gives off, and I'm not really sure how they did it!

Lastly the stars of this show are probably the herbal notes and the vanilla cake. The civettone or "cat" base really give a solid foundation for these notes to shine. The catnip is probably the most prominent herbal notes here and its really elevated by the subtle green and floral qualities of this perfume. I believe the shiso is what is lending a more sharp aromatic note while the bergamot tames the sweetness of the baked goods with its lovely bitterness. The vanilla cake is so lovely, its like a fluffy vanilla bundt cake with vanilla frosting and theres a very soft floral note that compliments it so well.

This truly is like a little cat baking a cake and drinking some catnip tea! I'm really impressed with this, as an artistic endeavor and as a fragrance.
