Enigmatic, skin-like but not filthy
When I first bought this several years ago, I didn't have much experience with fragrances and had little to compare it to. Now that I've experienced more kinds of musk, I feel pretty confident in saying this is very different from any of them.
Most musks smell like rose candy to me with a hint of something animalic, a bit like saliva. It's probably due to the floral notes musk is usually paired with. In Filthy Femme, by contrast, there are no floral notes to distract from the musk, and the impression is quite different.
It's quite powdery, a little vanillic, and somewhat reminds me of makeup powder. If you sniff closely, there's also something earthy, and a little spicy. It's not filthy but it's not just CLEAN either. I can't decide whether to classify it as "animalic" because it doesn't have any of the stinky, indolic qualities I'd normally associate with that descriptor, but it is reminiscent of human skin.
This is also a fragrance that relies on skin warmth to bloom. It's very faint when sniffing the bottle. It can smell quite different on me at different times, and I've gone through phases of not being able to wear it because it turned rotten smelling on me, but at other times it smells beautiful. Enigmatic.
